Our sweet baby girl arrived June 8 at 2:59pm. She was 8lbs and 10oz (wow!) and 19 and one half inches long. My labor was def. not as bad as it could have been. I arrived at the hospital on Sunday at 7:30p. They gave me my first dose of medicine to soften my cervix. I then had to have two more doses after that. We had a lady beside us that went all natural, and she was screaming at the top of her lungs, so needless to say we were both wide awake at 3:30 in the morning. Once that happened, I was wide awake and now noticing every contraction that I was having. By 6:30am it was at the point where I could not take it anymore and started the epidural. It didn't take the first time so after about an hour, they placed it again and it took correctly and finally I could take a breath. The doctor checked me at 12 and I was 6cm. He checked again at 1 and I was already at a 10 (without any pitocin sp? needed!) Dr. Pohl said he had to see another patient and would be back in 30mins to start the process. About 45 mins. later the nurse had me start pushing and about an hour and fifteen mins later our beautiful baby was born. Unfort nobody knew how big she was going to be and he had to do an episiotomy to help get her here.
She is the most precious and beautiful thing in the world. She passed all of her test and is doing great. She has made it pretty easy on mommy with her feeding so far. She has only had two times where she just couldn't wake up and went for a while without feeding, but other than that, she has been pretty much on a 3 hr feeding time. She is miss sleepy head and it is a rare and awesome thing when she decides to open her eyes!! Dustin got the most amazing picture of her, even if we do say so ourselves. She has been great so far about not crying, only when you burp her, she doesn't like that. She is already a daddy's girl and will only open her eyes to look and talk to him! We are the proudest parents in the world! We could not be happier and so thankful that God has blessed us with this beautiful miracle.
