We can hardly believe that 3 years have already gone by. My how things change :) We were fortunate enough to be able to leave Hailey at mom's house and go enjoy the day off and night. We started out at the Zoo, which I have to admit was a little weird going to and leaving our child at home... haha. It was beautiful weather and we had such a great time. Neither one of us had been since we were in middle school, and let me tell you it looks mighty different through 'big girl' eyes! When we got done there we headed out to do some shopping. Of course the only person that got anything was Hailey! We decided to hang it up on the shopping and leave out for PF Changs at the Mall of GA. We had a bad experience there a couple of years ago, but heard so many others talk great things about it, so we decided to give it another shot... it was amazing! The food was awesome, and because of the great weather, we got to sit outside and enjoy it. We were going to catch an IMAX movie, but nothing was playing when we were there, so we headed to the new Brandsmart instead. I know, I know, not a typical anniversary date, but that is so us. You know it could have been Wal-mart, so we are stepping up :)
We stopped for a warm 'Caramel Apple Spice' at Starbucks on the way home (which I am totally addicted to now!) and decided to catch up on some tivo. It was an awesome day and my hubby is just the best. I didn't mention his totally sweet scheme he had going. So he asked me on tues night if I could let the dogs out in the morning because he would really like to sleep in.. so I had no problems in this. I go to let the dogs out and flip on the hall light... there is was, my new pretty pink northface jacket with a note that read "Hey babe, I got this for you so you wouldn't be cold when you let the dogs out"!! How sweet, he does have a few tricks up that sleeve ;)
All in all, we had a beautiful day and were able to get some much needed one on one time.
